Read about one instead.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the sweet, and at times very funny, fictional journal of (the also fictional) Gregory Hefley, a 7th grader. The diary was created by Jeff Kinney and is now being published by Scholastic as a 3-part series. Complete with doodles and cartoons, this online journal is so long Web Diversions hasn't gotten to the end yet (so no spoilers in the comments!). Enjoy!
Is there anyone left in the world who doesn't go to Craigslist constantly? Not only is it great for finding a job, getting rid of your weight machine, and finding free cardboard boxes for your move, it can also be good for sheer entertainment.
A new spoof site has taken that aspect to a new level: Khraigslist is a page of hilarious "missed connections" postings, put up by the sketch comedy group Kasper Hauser. There site has lots of other hilarious goodness for your work procrastination enjoyment, but Khraigslist is our fav. Enjoy!
An oldie, but a goodie.

Another great recommendation from Rebecca Kosick of On Style for Moderns (as well as Crafts for Moderns).
Mr. Picassohead lets you create your own "painting" of a Picassoesque face. You can then save and email your head to show off your aesthetic flair to all your friends. Saved heads are also saved to the Gallery, where you can browse the work of other burgeoning Picassos.
No, I'm not talking about zombies...
Free Rice asks you vocabulary questions and for each one you get right, 10 grains of rice are donated to end world hunger.
Thanks to Gina Pensiero of Brooklyn, NY for letting us know about this great site. Gina's band Umberto is currently recoding a new album. You can hear some of her tracks on her Virb page.
I've been reading this blog pretty religiously since I discovered it, so I figured it was about time I shared the wealth.
I Guess I'm Floating is a music blog, mostly covering the Indie scene but sometimes wandering into other genres. Posts frequently include mp3s and videos (though attempting to download past posts' mp3s has often led to dead links for me).
My favorite part has been Thursdays and Covers, a weekly delivery of mp3s of various covers.
So enjoy! But don't forget about your favorite blogger blog...
I don't want to ruin the experience, so I'm just going to tell you to head to JacksonPollock.org and check it out.
Thanks to Rebecca Kosick of Chicago for bringing this site to the attention of Web Diversions (as well as for being one of our most loyal readers!). Check out her fabulous blog, On Style for Moderns.
So you think Amy Winehouse is soooo great: well get hip to the Dap-Kings real super star, Sharon Jones. Ms. Jones went
from Rikers Island Women's Prison correctional officer to the new queen of soul. Check out the video for "100 Days, 100 Nights", the title track to Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings new album. Check out all their upcoming shows on their MySpace page.
