The Foggy Monocle: A Gentleman's Blog

For some, a gentleman is one who does everything from dressing to eating with style and refinement. To the writers of The Foggy Monocle, a gentlemen is someone who gets drunk at work and IMs his friend to let him know about it.

The Foggy Monocle posts IM, text, and email conversations of hilarious debauchery. Most involve copious drinking. All involve funny.

Obama Race For the White House Game

This game is a little outdated since it's Obama vs. Clinton rather than McCain (although it would be really easy for the game-makers to repurpose it if they wanted to). Still, it's incredibly fun.

Obama Race For the White House is sort of Obama snood (Snoodbama?); Shoot little balls from your cannon and knock them down by joining 3 of a kind. The different balls represent different, unspecified political promise: education, defense, religion, finance, and then, media, culture, and tech. Achieve goals in these areas in different parts of the nation and see how the election comes out.

Photoshop Screw Ups

Everybody loves Photoshop: it makes our models thinner, our new cars shinier and, on occasion, make the legs of a small child disappear.

Photoshop Disasters is a blog chronicling ridonculous retouching blunders. Some of them are a bit subtle for me, not having the trained eye of a Photoshopper, and there's a lot of debate in the comments about whether or not some are actually Photoshopped. But when they hit the mark it is totally hilarious.

Friday Drive In: Bomb the Bass - Butterfingers

This definitely makes me wish the song was as good as the video, but damn this is cute. An animated mixing board? Yes please!

Weird News: Parents Let 16 Year Old Drop Out of High School to Play Guitar Hero

The winners of the "Worst Parents Ever" award would definitely have to go to 16 year old Blake Peebles' mom and dad who gave him the go ahead to drop out of high school and play Guitar Hero full time. As mom, Hunter Peebles, said: "We couldn't take the complaining anymore...He always told me that he thought school was a waste of time."

Well sure, that's totally understandable. That's why so many parents have let their kids drop out to focus all their time on Bong Studies.

Here's an American Public Media interview with the Peebles (god help them).

And check out the hilarious comic about Peebles on HijiNKS ENSUE

Fantastic Contraption Update!

I was thinking about how I like the music to Magic Pen so much better than the Fantastic Contraption music and I wish I could just listen to that while I play. So I found the MP3 so I could do just that. Then I thought, maybe the people who read Webby D want to listen to it too! So you can download the mp3 here.

You can also check out more music by the same artist, Pit Bull Jones, on his (her? their?) myspace page.

New Building Game: Fantastic Contraption

If you liked Magic Pen (admit it, you did!) this game will similarly rock your adorable little socks (admit it, they are!) right off.

Like Magic Pen, Fantastic Contraption is a flash game where you create things in an attempt to get a ball into its goal. Instead of drawing though, you build machines with wheels and rods.

Report back and let me know what level you've reached!
